Together, we Build
Solutions that
Last.

The International Design Clinic (IDC) operates at the intersection of design and activism, with work showcased at the UIA World Congress, the Venice Biennale, and MoMA. This global recognition has created significant demand, and we are now seeking three key types of support:

1.
Strategic Partnerships:

Our most pressing need is to connect with existing aid and humanitarian organizations. We need our supporters to help us connect with those who have dedicated their lives to helping others, so that together, we can bring the schools, community centers, clinics, and homes that are desperately needed by communities in need around the world.

  • The Goal: To partner with organizations already on the ground to build schools, clinics, and homes that are locally rooted and sustainable.

  • How you can help: Connect us with NGOs, community leaders, and foundations that need a design-activist partner.

2.
Tools & Materials

Our volunteers bring the talent; we need to provide the tools. From high-powered design software to the literal hammers and saws used on-site, material support is the backbone of our guerrilla builds.

  • The Goal: To fully equip our teams so they can move seamlessly from digital design to physical construction.

  • How you can help: Donate professional-grade design equipment or fund the raw materials (steel, timber, solar components) for an upcoming project.

3.
The Fellowship Fund:

To ensure our impact is consistent, we are establishing Permanent Travel Fellowships. These funds allow us to deploy world-class creative professionals to remote or high-crisis areas without placing a financial burden on the volunteers or the host communities.

  • The Goal: To provide travel support to our dedicated band of designers.

  • How you can help: Contribute to our fellowship fund to directly sponsor a designer’s deployment to the field.

Scaling our Infrastructure

For two decades, the IDC has thrived as a volunteer-driven collective, but global demand now exceeds our capacity. To better serve the communities that need us most, we are shifting from a project-based model to a staffed institution.

  • The Goal: Hire full-time project managers and regional coordinators to support long-term site maintenance, manage international logistics, and connect our nomadic workshops.

  • How you can help: Invest in our Operational Fund. Your support gives us the stability to evolve from a volunteer-led movement into a lasting global force for design activism.
